Muscogee cloth dress

hello. i'm new... i was wondering does anyone know exactly what Creek regalia looks like. my friend's mom let me borrow hers but i was wanting to make my own. the one i wear now is red calico, a ribbon dress.

any help would be greatly appreciated:)

It's pretty much like a Cherokee tear dress.

Yes, there are not as many gathers in the material, so it's a little less ruffly. And they also usually wear an apron, kinda like the Choctaw dresses. What size do you wear? I have a Creek-style cloth dress that I might be willing to sell.

Yuchi (Euchee) dress

Below is a picture of a Yuchi dress from the Gilcrease Museum. It should be very similar to a Muscogee dress. This particular dress was made by my great-aunt Julia Winningham.

you know looking at these pictures and having tear dresses myself and seeing other southern(SE) tribal dresses makes one wonder why they are all similar but reflects each tribes differences....

Ok, so it's taken me a heck of a long time to get the pics up of the dress I have for sale. Anyway, it's currently on eBay, take a look:

It's more of a sky blue - the top of the dress (it's one-piece) is blue, the sleeves are white with blue ribbon trim, and the skirt is white with blue ribbon trim. The shawl is also blue, with white ribbons for the fringe.

I didn't realize how close the Muskcogee dress is to the Chatah and Chikasha. but then of course, we speak their language. I've never seen the Creek dress because so few of us Southeastern women wear the stomp dress. So maybe this helps:
This is my little one's dress. She still needs her beaded collar but I'll wait until she gets over the pulling stage.
