Your mom is Traditional Lady, I believe? She and I have spoken on these forums and she was very friendly to me when I was a newbie here. Please give her my greetings.
Yep, that's her. I'll make sure to tell her that. I don't think she's checked out this thread since I posted the pics so I'll have her take a look.

Funny, mom was talking about your outfit as well lol. You looked good out there with all the Northern Plains women.

I will. I will probably wait until my son gets home from his college classes this afternoon, so he can help me if I need it. Also, I think I should ask Timmy Tiger if she minds me posting them, since she is in all of them too. If she does mind, I will send you a pm with a link. Okay?

OH she did, she really did. Her dress is beautiful, really it is. And the guys were looking too, I noticed that. She was the only one there wearing that, and I do know that many people noticed it and were looking.

Thank you!! I am Mayche's Mom. We live in Florida and we could not find wool fabric anywhere. This material was a blend of wool and gabardine. I attempted to make it traditionally correct. When I competed at Schemitzun, I don't think the judges liked it. I "represented" though.

Here are Timmy and I. She said it was okay if I only posted a photo of her back. I don't have a lot of those, but here is the best one:

I just sent you a PM to make sure this photo was alright to post, but I guess it is, so never mind the PM.

I would like a dancing outfit for my 14 month old son. I saw one for sale for an 18 month old, but it was $250. I can't really afford that and am wondering if anyone has any ideas for me. Perhaps I could make one out of suede fabric, but I don't actually know how.

I'm talking about the actual pieces that make up your outfit. I was recently told that Northern Traditional Dancers were supposed to wear aprons that cover hip-to-hip. Now, I've been wearing a tradecloth apron for years that doesn't cover hip-to-hip. And I've had a few boys ask me pointers on dancing...

Some outfits have been handed down from a family member. Others have been value beyond dollars because of personal reasons. Others like mine, have been specifically made for the dancer.

What would you do if a collector, museum or powwow dancer offered to buy your outfit?
