I was watching a video of a northern traditional ladies' cloth contest. Some dancers caught my attention. They have ribbon work, ribbon tops, and cut out hair bows with ribbon streamers. Their dance step reminded me of the old style jingle. Can you help me identify the tribe? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pE5PF64qBE

I saw the women's washboard in, I think, '93 in Greensboro, NC.
Why must I feel like that..why must I chase the cat?

So, I'm not an expert either. I've heard it called "Old Style Woodland Scrub" too.

Okay, I am new to this forum, but I am an experienced Northern Traditional Dancer who is switching to Straight Dance due to back and knee injuries that prevent me from sneaking up on myself much less an imaginary enemy.
I have a lot of questions but I will start with just a couple....-
