hi all ya'll fancy shawl dancers. i just started going to this site. but i came here looking for an answer to this question-
here goes, i dont know if this is a dance that has always been done by certain tribes or if its just a powwow fad.
heres my question: has anybody seen tha crow...

by bushy_braidsrecently i've noticed that fancy dancers are given the double beat crow hop to dance to where they dance "crow style" crow hop... as opposed to the single beat where they dance more "fancy style" crow hop including more jumping around, footwork, and movements.

ok when I was growing up in the 70's in the midwest I heard of a "new" style of dance which they called modern crow. From what I remember it looks alot like early fancy shawl. They wore a t style dress, hair tyes, medallion necklace ,scarf, belt and crow leggings/boots. They danced similiar...

Well from my perspective, the crow hop to me, means you imitate the way a crow moves.. aiyee, am I just getting my foot stuck in my mouth?
