here is my tip

I would suggest bright, cool colors. Stay away from light colors especially anything close to pastel. That's just me...I'm have really dark and lighter skin and I just dont' do well with those colors. I like blues, and aqua type colors.

That's just my tip...I mean I most people don't use pastels too much anyway...but I really avoid them all together. Other than that, it's really up to you! It is really hard to make a bad color scheme...contrast is the key..cool colors and fire colors are really good! Anyway..that's just my take on things! Hope it works out for you!:D

I agree with the above comments, I am light skinned also. Find out what your traditional colours are for your nation, I use traditional blackfoot colours. Fire colours as well. Also remember that colour is important but design is what will make you stand out. Black is sometimes a mistake because in the evening at outdoor pow wow's you aren't seen very well. Though I did see one girl with a black shawl with neon design and ribbon, she stood out. Anyway keep in mind what colours naturally complement your skin tone. B well.

Another thing is to maybe get some colors that not alot of girls have. For example, I went to this one powwow and all the girls had the same colors. Bright pink, bright green, and neon fringe. Dont get me wrong these are wonderful colors, Im just saying maybe you might want some colors that not alot of girls have so you can stand out from all the rest.

i agree with the tradish colors too. blend them in with your own style. you don't have to use the exact colors. just a shade. this alsp could be something to get you started. then you can start hoppin to different colors and ideas.

My Colours...

my colours are always the same.... blue, red. black, orange, pink, purple, yellow, white. teal green. I think that those colours are the colors that reflect the kind of person that i am... I am always changing my mood and my personality very much often. :)
