Plumes
Hey, I'm a fancy shawl dancer, though, I haven't been dancing for long, maybe 5 years. Anywho I don't own any plume feathers. People have told me to try a get soem from a wild life preservation or to buy them from a store. I strongly believe that people should only where feathers that are A: Given to them OR B: who have earned them. To this day I still dance with out feathers. What are your thoughts.

i danced without plumes for a while as well, i had plumes given to me a couple years ago and was soooooo happy to recieve them. Although we dont need to dance with them, i found that they just completed my outfit and i am so grateful to have them. However... ive wanted new ones for a while and awsomely enough, lol... Walela a.k.a Reagan King, makes some really nice leagal plumes and i ordered some from her!!!! She cud totally hook you up and makes you some plume holders that match your outfit. Ditto on Reagan! Her plumes are absolutely gorgeous and so well made. Plus, she is really reasonable on prices and has an incredible turnaround time.

My daughters have danced for years and now that my oldest is a young women, I am allowing her to wear her eagle feathers that were given to her some years ago.

:ChatterMy daughters started dancing last year, they don't have any eagle plumes for their hair. When at pow wows I see eagle plumes like there is no tomorrow, some dancers have their hair just covered with them.

I was wondering how do you earn plumes?Do you have to dance good to earn them.I need plumes thats why , but my grandma told me i have to earn them ,but heres the thing i don't know what to do to earn them.can you gals tell me.Pppplease!!!j/k
