I need some information and I really don't know how to get the info that I need. Here is the question.
My daughter is a junior girls fancy dancer from Southern Saskatchewan. We attended a pow wow in Mistiwasis, Saskatchewan. When it was her competition time, she danced two songs. One straight and the other the crow step. She looked like she knew how!. Anyways, the announcer was frfom Alberta and he said that the dancers will carry their shawls and that we would see why. Well.......I didn't see why. SO...............WHY do they carry their shawls and what is the story behind the CROW STEP. We know about the crow hop!
