Shawls like other dance clothing should conform to the dancers size and preference. If the dancer is smaller or wider, the shawl size should reflect this.

    Dance Shawl

Check out the pics of the shawl. Who I made it for was very pleased to the point she started crying. It meant so much to her.

Most dance shawls nowadays are not folded, but still could have a 2nd layer sewed on to hide the stitches....or not...

    Thank You so much!!

Another 2 questions if you don't mind.

I will be using gabardine, why not beading? Cause I bought a bunch yesterday :< And what type of stabilizer do you use when appliqueing?

    Thanks Again

    Dance shawl measurements

Hello I'm making a dance shawl for a friend. I was told the measurements are 60"x 60". That's long for my friend. So my questions are after you do your bead work and or applique, do you fold it so that your stitches are hidden in the inside? Or is it one layer?

    I would appreciate any advice.

    Thank You!
