      Eagle Plumes

What i do for fancy shawl dancers is that i use the wire coat hangers shape 'em in a "U" cut tio desired length and wrap the wire with hockey tape making it easier to bunch and wrap the feathers as well as Bead them peyote style making the feathers really stand out that way i leave some space for the barrets or hair peices to cover em up and "whapow" lol.... You got yourself some reral purty plumes

Well i dont use just any kinda tape.. its a secret weapon *L. Anyway, dont know the real name, i just call it Plummers tape. It is used on the threads of pipes usually. Anyway.. its not sticky like regular tape.. and its realy stretchy and pliable. So it works really well in holdin the plumes. Cuz, maybe im just wierd, but i dont like to glue my plumes. It works REALLY well.

Your not weird, your using your brain... I won't use glue either; I have some plumber's tape, I bet you it would work well, without destroying your eagle plume. GOOD IDEA!

well when my daughter started dancing we used a guitar string folded it into a loop secured that than hot glued the plumes to that then wrapped that ends of the plumes with thread then peryote stitched the beads on covering the entire loop with beads i like to use 13 charlotte cut beads makes the work really neat and light hoper this helps if you like you can email me

I know I'm replying to an old comment; the reason I do not like to use glue on my eagle feathers is due to the fact that I may want to change out barrettes or beading on them someday and do not want to have to rip them apart to do it.

Can someone give me directions on how to fix actual plumes? I have some loose Eagle plumes and was hoping to make a small to medium side plume. No idea on how to start

How you get such big plumes
                                by sac&fox06
I would just like to know how you make plumes so thick and tall? I have several eagle plumes that are around 8inches but they are not thick like most ladies i see wearing these days nor as tall?

How do you attatch the plumes to your barretts?

although i like plumes ...i tried wearing them once and it felt to strange...i prefer blacktips to plumes...which do you prefer

                                Hi,
does anyone think that you can use turkey plumes for feathers instead of eagle plumes or the fake marabuboas? Cause I`m not a big fan of those marabu thingys and I have turkey
