harness, vest???

I've seen so many yokes made now a days and now its time to redo one of mine (too much frybread) anyway, it was attached to a vest but I don't know if I want to make it attach to a harness or just another vest. So I figured I'd ask around. What do you like on other fancy dancers, A vest? a harness?

I would think the harness would be cooler to wear; since a vest is actually an item you have to put on, and much more restrictive.

I made the Harness (Seeing I have 2 other vests, it was time for a change) ...It tends to Accent certain body features ...(The twins) Anyone have an Idea how to stop that???

Wear a very good sportsbra! I know what you mean about that; I'm a traditional dancer and even have the twins wanting to move around on their own.

Neither, I like the sort of bib front like Crystal Clevelands cuz its compliments her lightness on her feet, not too big & bulky. For me, I see a vest or harness front and it looks dated from the early 90's. but if i had to pick one, i'd say the vest front, and leave the harness to the men. but to each his own, or should i say "her own"!

There was a time when I would totally agree with you.
As of now, I've made all three styles. the "bib" front was alright, but then I was introduced to the vest, and not having to wait to put feathers in or getting my hair done because I needed to put a yoke over my head was a very nice concept to me. That and if I wanted to change vests between sessions it was very easy. I've outgrown my "bib" yokes and use them to lend to friends who want to dance, but their outfits aren't "dance-able" yet.

There was even a time where I didn't like the look of Harnesses on girls. Until my friend made one, and it looked very nice on her.

But Wear which ever one you like.

Thanx to all that have written back to me, I'm still getting the concept of getting the harness on and off (Still a bit challeging)
