  • Quick question, Having an issue

    Hey Guys,
I am debating on something and need some opinions or advise. I am working on my newest outfit. I am finished with the dress and half of my beadwork. Do you think its ok to make canvas applique designed mocs & leggings to wear while I work on my beaded ones. I don't want to look too cheesie. Ya know. Any opinions? advise? THANKS!!

When not dancing, I am thinking about dancing.

You should finish your beading and if it's taking too long, speed it up, lol.

I think its fine...plus the sooner you start dancing the better you'll be once your beadwork is finished! Have fun :)

applique is fine until you finish your stuff. besides once you get out there and dance you'll be more motivated to get it done. theres plenty of women out there wearing applique leggings and mocs who look just beautiful when they dance. its the whole package not just one part...

Thanks! I keep thinking about it. Though it would be nice to have everything beaded before I went out in the new one. I just want to dance. And it is true, it will make me motivated more. I just work full time. Between working and doing the must dos during the week, I hardly have time but a short amount.

When I watch Jingle Dress Dancers, I always watch their footwork and dance moves.

If you are in a competion, you'll probably lose a few points or a place (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) due to the shortcut.

If you dance mostly intertribal or exhibition, then you should not worry too much about it.

Just dance in the tall grass.... or maybe add those sparkle / shiny things to your canvas footwear.

One can shortcut and reap the consequences of not being complete.

You Don't Need To Have Fully Beaded Leggings Or Mocs ... So Don't Worry About Wearing Applique Ones, It's Okay :)

You are right on all counts Eap7,
We determine who we snag and if we have a bead fetish, shouldn't the girls comply?

p.s. my mother told me to stay away from appliqued girls for they are vampish, lol.

So , as long as you look good and are bad a$$......

You are exceptional but there are others that don't have that authentic look and as such, they are bound to the elements.

Hi there. I'm 26 years old, I have a little munchkin daughter that will be 2 in September. This past weekend, she begged me to take her out into the arena with the other kids to dance. I did. I felt bad because she wanted to do this on her own... I owe her an outfit...
