    Me too.

I have one fan that my grandparents gave me for my birthday (they bought, it but I still love it). My grandmother passed away recently and next time I dance I know I have to use that fan.

the other one is an eagle fan that some friends of the family gave to me. It's not all jazzed up like all those fans you see all the time but it also means a lot to me.

should i use the one i made which compliments the dress or the one that clashes?

I have talked to many people and have gotten mixed answers from them. I have an abundence of owl feathers(owl beeing my animal) and i've always wanted a REALLY nice owl fan. Jingle dress(from my knowledge) is a healing dance. the owl, how ever, the owl,in some cultures, is seen as the "messenger of death", in other cultures, it is seen as bringing change but does not specify if the change spoken of is good or bad. basically what i'd like to hear are your opinions of a jingle dress dancer have an Owl fan.

Be careful and talk to your folks. I've always heard be mindful of where you are and be careful what you do.

Yeah I wouldn't go with the owl fan. The turkey one sounds nice for the flat fan, all white. There's some other real nice ones if you're into spending money on them, like big $$. The Patrick Scott fans are just gorgeous! Do you have a pic of the dress you're talking about and the fans in question? What about one of those flat fan kits from crazy crow, not sure if nocbay sells them too. Maybe they might look nice too?

Well to answer one of your questions, I think you should alternate fans. Maybe at one powwow use the one you and your uncle made, then at another powwow use the one your aunt bought. This way you can honor both your uncle and aunt.

Now, about the owl fan, I personally would not use it. I and a lot of other people I know think that owl feathers are bad medicine b/c of what you said about the owl being the messenger of death. The owl is the messenger of death for me b/c he warned me on several occasions. But anyway, I just say use both of the fans from your aunt and uncle. Hope that helps you!

sorry but i could barely make out what you were typing the color is too bright in your font...but i personally dont have a fan when i dance jingle...but its best just to make one out of white turkey (for a flat fan) it looks less cheesy than the painted stuff...nocbay.com sells white turkey feathers(they call it eagle) but their all white...to snazz it up a bit you can do some thread work to make designs on it...i think theres a thread on threadwork in crafts forum...i wouldnt use painted feathers for your fan..
