If you treat people good, and try and live good..or enter that powwow circle in a good way..the circle will take care of you.
I believe that it is alot to do with this dress that heals. Anyway just to let you all know that I am thankful for everything.
These prayers have been shared with the creator, my prayer is for all of you kind people. Thanks.
We are healing good, I still have my broke knee, decided against a replacement, my tibial plateau may be as good as it will get the metal is in place of the shattered bone, my tail bone is still bent up (lol so I am always losing my balance), my hip is healed up and in my hip is a rod to keep my S.I. joint in place (my other hip was just cracked a lil but the metal in there is still good to go). But all in all, IT COULD BE WORSE, and hey what do I have to complain about. Im walking, dancing and living..all this and I am able to still attend university and support my son.
Like Nietzsche said "What doesn't kill me will only make me stronger"
But thanks AGAIN and AGAIn. i can never say that enough.
Oh and for those of you who are wondering, becuase I have so much metal, in my hips, Si joint and leg..no I don't go off at the airports. LOL But I do have one concern...I think I am becoming a FemBot
    Boozhoo Willow,

It is amazing, that with all you've been through that you are still dancing. The strength and belief you have in the dress clearly shines through in your smile and positive outlook on life in general. Hoping all the best for you and Nakee in the upcoming holidays!

I agree. We dance for those who cannot for whatever reason, illness, incarceration, for our elders and families/loved ones, etc.

We also dance because we love to dance, it is a self healing.

He is now in the process of seeking help though our traditional teachings. This is how I was raised. He finally sees how strong of a connection to Mother Earth (our foundation) we have with her. He recently went into his first sweats last week. He couldn't believe how powerful, peaceful, and caring our traditional people and way of life is. He truly feels this will be his way of healing. Please pray for him to continue to have strength to overcome this sickness. Please pray for him to continue to reach out for help/support when if/when he has the urge to drink. I thank you all for your love and prayers. Take Care and God Bless.
Hi SideSteppin....I haven't been here in a while either due to living a busy life with work and home stuff, and trying to sew and bead in between all the hustle and bustle. Great to hear the hubby is going traditional way with healing. Can't go wrong and will keep your family in my prayers as well. ~hugsss~

              Prayer requests...

Those of you that know the words of prayer please keep my friend and his family... His father especially, in your prayers. He's diabetic with no health insurance (you know how that goes) and it's been really hard on him health wise. We've been worried about him. He scraped up enough to go get seen and they did more tests and want to send him to a heart specialist. His blood sugar will peak then drop... he gets so sick... and it feels like there's nothing that we can do to help. Please keep them in your thoughts.

My sister died in a car accident on November 23rd of last year. It gets hard for us. I forget she's really gone.... when we go home I keep thinking hey I wonder what Bertha's cooking.... then I remember that she's gone on. My mom and sister are taking it really hard. It hits me in waves. Please pray for us.

Thank you. I'll be doing the same for you.
              SHAKE IT!!!!

                  Singing Otter

Yeah, I know how ya feel. I lost a brother in May. It will soon be one year. We feast that one year that has gone by. But there are certain songs and a certain kind of humour and other familiar happenings that remind me of him, and I have to stop and think twice sometime that he is not here anymore. Im not sure if that ever goes away.

Prayers from me to your family.

I am not a jingle dancer yet but am working on it. My husband recently was diagnosed with some mental health issues that we need great prayers for. I can't dance for him until I finish the proper process for becoming a jingle dancer but please, pray for him and keep our family in your thoughts.

How was everyone's easter weekend? Hoping all was good and wishing you all a happy upcoming spring.

Not to go into too much detail, but do any of you jingle dress dancers have spring ceremonies? Feasts?

lol well off topic of the jingle. i am starting my son's dress here very soon.

i am running things around in my head about a day planner book. i had started one years ago....you know how that goes.
anyway, some strange stuff went down, and i lost all forward motion with that piece. i really want a cover, so i am going to start another.

my sister and i are starting her daughters first lil dress, we just have to check on the colors.

my daughter is planning the colors for her dress, and she will start hers prolly next month. i taught her the same way i was, you even make your own shirt. lol, her first one was a lil off, but she was so proud of it.

she was thinking of jingle this year, but not yet.

knocked off a couple barrettes, cause i need some cash.

ummm, that is about it for me right now.

Since eveyone has an opinion or knowledge of jingle dress dancers, here is my question. If Jingle dress dancers are supposed to be about praying and only certain people should be jingle dress dancing, then how do you judge a good jingle dress dancer? Should there even be a jingle dress competition,...
