    My thoughts

She is a good dancer, but, I think that the way she is dancing should be in a different category.
Sure it's good to try new things. With the side step, should be the side step and not moving your feet like scissors and not lifting the feet off the ground with honor beats.
I was taught not to let your feet leave the ground because we as women have to be close to mother earth. That is why we side step, shuffle and always be connected to the ground with one or both feet.
The side step is a healing dance and should be kept close to the original dance as possible. When people start changing things, the original meaning will be lost.

I'm not one to say what's right and what's wrong. But I will say this, it's definitely different and will get her noticed in competition.
      Don't ever stop dancing

I think it is a bit too contemporary. Sure contemp. is new and different but you should still keep it somewhat close to trad. On that note I have a question about contemp. style dancing: Is it right to spin all the way around? I was told when I used to dance jingle that you only turn to the side and you weren't allowed to spin all the way around.
