bias tape or ribbon?

Ok what would be better i am trying to debate either to use ribbon or bias tape? i heard ribbon frays. first time making a jingle dress i have drawn the design of the dress on paper just need to know what to use? i also heard there is different types of jingle cape apron and under. i really don't know what a cape is or under dress is? i know what a apron jingle is use to have one. any suggestion would be apprieciated.

String your jingles on double fold bias tape. You can use ribbon to sew across the rows of jingles, or other embellishment.
