To PuFf or NoT to pUfF

What do you think of puffy sleeves, Im sort of on the fence with it, leaning more to not really caring for them....... Ive seen some really nice dresses with them, and some not very nice dresses with them (that might have left a bad taste in my mouth)

But what do you all think?

i'm with u there on that one. i'm not sure if i want them or not. some are cute, and then there's the one's that aren't. :)

Yeah see i dunno it kinda adds a mid-evil flare, sometimes makes it pretty, but I dunno, I cant make up my mind if I like them or not.

yeah, i'm probably going to end up just not using them. but later on i might change my mind, i don't know. unless i can get them to look all cute and eveything.

I seem to like them But only if it looks good on the dress. I'm gonna do puffy sleeves on my new dress but on my other dresses I'm going to make. I'm not going to do it cuz it will look funny I think.

It's all about how it looks.

guess it depends on the way the dress is like designed,on some dresses they look good on others it looks like crap

I won't use em.....but it's because I have broad shoulders...... me using puffy sleeves would be the equivalent of having shoulder pads.:o

I am designing my first dress and I was thinking of using the puffy sleeves, but now Singing Otter has me thinking, I kinda have broad shoulders too. Hmmmmmm :Eyebrows

Jibby, I had a flashback from when my momma made me wear this MINT GREEN pleaty dress with lace and a pink bow. It had poofy sleeves. I felt like one of those chocolate mint candies! :o Anyways, I'm big bonededded LOL dunno girl, you might be able work it!

lol,,,,, well eg22 it all depends how you look in puffy sleeves. then it depends how puffy you gonna make just a little puff should look ok but then depends how feel. bonededdd lol thats funny my daughter has some broad shoulders and on of her dresses i made it puffy she didnt like and i didnt like it,, it almost made her look like she had football pads on. just experiment on some material before doing the actual dress to see what looks good on you.

On two of my older dresses I had SEMI-PUFFY sleeves I guess you can say, I didnt really mind them cause they didnt stand wayyyy out.... (at least I dont think) Im workin on two dresses right now i was gonna make one short sleeved (above my elbows) and make em a lil wee puffy, and the other one I still cant decide. But now Im getting new beadwork so Im gonna make another new one..... and again cannot decide whether I want to make em puffy or not puffy......

Is puffy even cool?
