I like SATIN - bridal satin when I can find it, crepe backed satin is nice, and have used the costume satin when I can't find anything else.

My local WalMart is just OK. LUV going to those WalMarts in other cities to see their awesome fabric sections. HATE to see the new WalMart in Casper got rid of their fabric!

What a bummer that our Walmart is gonna quit marking down fabric and selling remnants....AND they NEVER have any WonderUnder!! They try to tell me Heat and Bond is the same...HA!!! So I loaded up with 15 yards of WonderUnder from the Cedar City, UT WalMart.

In a pinch, I order from fabrics.com. Then I get this HUMUNGOUS roll of fabric in a 6 foot long box...not the easiest thing to store in my sewing space.

I like crazy day-glo fabrics usually used for hunting gear and I've been going to Hancock Fabrics lately. They're cheaper than Jo-Ann's on some things and they don't play the coupon game that Jo-Ann's does (like "we're going to send you a coupon two months prior to the sale and see if you remember it/or don't lose it before then... ugh And even though we have extra coupons we shall not giveth thee thine sacred coupon extra!)

Jo-ann's had some really awesome quilting cotton fabric with really shiny printing on it that I bought some time ago though. I absolutely LUV it and haven't seen anything like it since.

One of my favorite dancers has really pretty plaid dresses and that's been my new fabric fetish but my mom calls my new plaid dress the "madras bermuda shorts" dress. lol

I used to get the most fabric from Wal-Mart in the form of cheap calicos but they did some crazy "test-market" experiment with our Wal-Mart and got rid of the sewing section. :( It was so great for those big old tear dresses because you could get a lot of yardage for little.

Random off-topic sewing story... My Mom insists on calling Jo-Ann's "Sew-fro" (a fabric store they bought out) but she mispronounces it a lot as Snew-Fro and I always feel like I'm going to get Sno-Cones not fabric. lol

Your gender stereotyping has riled me up so severely I must now knit away my anger.

Where's Your Favorite Place to Shop?
    by Suzizila
I went out bumming around at couple of stores tonight. First, I went to one of my favorite shops(Hobby Lobby). My deal from there was an artist portfolio case, which ended up being a little over $10.00, thanks to the 40% off coupon.

    Deal #2
