    Hey all,

I would like to know if anyone has any ideas for this. I am trying to figure out how to make a feather out of beads that will hang off of my daughter's heart barret. I am trying different ways but seems to be alittle harder than I though. could someone help?

I have no idea. Maybe you could try flexible wire, etc. Like I just said, I don't really know

thats a toughy...do ya mean a feather design beaded into her barrette? well if push comes to shove what would look really pretty for that is use some charlotte cut beads and make like loops to give like a fringy look to it oruse pearl type of beads ya can get from any fabric store ya know the very very small kind and make loop like fringes...for the feather out of beads i would draw it out and use applique stitch and back it up with some either fabric or deerskin...im not sure exactly if you want it as fringes at the bottom part of the heart barrette or if ya want one as sort of like a drag...if its a drag like i would also charlotte cuts and maybe make like daisy chain for the drag part ..or if ya dont want the backing buy some very thin flexible wire string through one bead if size 13 charlottes dont work then crazy crow sells size 11 charlottes..but yay start with one bead string through wire and weave it ( right side wire (end of wire) goes through the bead and should now be on left side and then left side end part of wire goes throughthe bead to the righ side) and each time your done with one weave and 1 more bead to the the before it..when yar done twist it and cut off excess wire...or even bending it to back part of the beadwork...-becca

Thank you for the reply becca, I never thought about the wire....

Ya I want then to dangle from the heart barret so they will move around while she dances. I have most of what you said so I will try this and see how it works.

                moccasins
                by Meggers_018
I've decided to try to bead a pair of moccasins for my new outfit. I've never done a pair before. I asked a couple of friends who bead them for some advice, but we really didn't get a lot of time to talk about it. They suggested beading on a piece of canvas first, then sewing that onto leather of...

                Working With A Loom
                by Guest
Just wondering, out of curiosity, what is a good loom to work with? I have never done it, but it sure looks nice when it's done right(loom bead work).

Any tips on picking one up? I would like to start a crown on one, or maybe some earrings, choker etc.

                Any help would be...

                Don't want to edgebead rosettes
                by trob226
I've made some small rosettes for earrings, and I really don't want to edge bead them at all, but I'm not sure how to finish the edge. Just overstitch it? Just glue it? Anybody have any ideas?

                material to bead on
                by shawna.butterfly
I just started beading recently, and I don't really know much. One of my friends showed me the basics, & now I'm just figuring it out as I go. So I have some questions.

*I started beading a headband, and I'm half way done. But, the material I used is a very thin cotton material...
