    how much would you pay?

i got my daughter an outfit years ago skirt, shawl, purse and trailer all broadcloth paid 500.

the first time she wore it she got 500 first place in teens, so i think it was worth it.

    1. i think it mostly depends on the quality of the work
    2. materials used
    3. design & origionality (and that it stays that way)

i don't spend my $ on movies, bowling, booze, men or smokes so my answer is if you got it spend it, ya can't take it with ya.

It looks like Christy's work; it's gorgeous, who knows. I guess if your willing to pay that much, it's a free country. I would want to see and examine the work first-hand if I were paying a small fortune for it. I've seen and heard about other people actually doing beadwork on paper. Wouldn't want to be buying and using poorly made work like that, you know???

Like others have said, it depends on who made it, how detailed it is, whether you are a serious competitive dancer, etc. That is a top notch set of beadwork and it is worth alot of money.

Geez, I know this reply is a little late but, after reading all posted and looking at Sharps site and seeing the beadwork in question I felt compelled to post. The work is Christy's and I also would like to say her work is beyond reproach. The gal is a genius with designs, colors and quality. As for the [asking] price, hummm, look at the design, amount of work, what's in the set and the perfection. Sure, there's a lot of other good workers out there, don't mean to slight them in any way, just wanted to tell ya all I've studied Christy's work and she is definitely on the list of the best.

I have heard many good things about her as well! My friend Janet is the one who does the work (Website) for Sharp's, ahhh only some day I can dream of owning some of her beadwork (Christy) Dayum, better then winning an Oscar

Yeah I know I could do that kinda work if I had the time, and supplies... but I'll be the first to admit I don't like doing large projects hence all the barrettes LOL!! Also until now I did'nt have the space either but maybe I'll try to tackle something like this. I've been wanting to dance buckskin for a long time but have'nt had the funds to buy the leather for a dress. But I have a design in mind for the drop and design that i already know is going to be quite a feat to tackle but I'm only going to have one buckskin in my lifetime so when I make it, I want it to be exactly what I want.. I know you all understand that.

                        Hey All,

First off I would really like to say Thanx from the bottom of my heart for all the compliments on the set. As for a little info on it.. It took me over a year to complete. Normally I can do a crown in a week, this one took a month. Soooo much detail... If you look closely you will see all the 13 cuts in it that were used as "filler" beads. I bead for a living, and I am soooo thankful to the creator that he has given me the talent to allow me to do it. Anyways, this thread has made me smile. Can't wait to see who gets it!

I'm working on a project and undecided on how much I should charge. I was wonder how much you would charge for a set of moccasins and leggings if all supplies were provided. I was thinking around $800, is that asking for too much?? Thank you for your help!!!
