oooo...nice! I like to see and hear what others are working on.
As for me, I always have a long list. But here's one project that is picture-worthy.

As you can see I am almost done edge beading a pair of hairties. Gotta make some more stuff to go with them. Earrings, a back barrette, top barrette, and a choker.

                Wow!!!!

Nice to know I am not the only one beading like mad these days.......geez, so much things to bead and so little time. Where do I began. Right now, I am beading my own tradish top. I am helping my neice with her hair ties, neck thing, and barret.(that I have been neglecting, sorry neice) I wanna finish my top before I do anything else, but the demands never stop. I enjoy beading for my hubby and our girls, so they can look nice at pow wows and match up their stuff. some times i just use the hand me downs from one daughter to the next, just so they can feel special and have beadwork like the older one......it's cute.

anyway, good luck guys on getting them projects done. I know I need luck. I really wanna dance and that's why I have been neglecting everyone else so I can start.

this is the only thing I've worked on this summer LOL!! I've been fishing and right now the desire to fish is outweighing the desire to bead... how wierd is that??? OHHH and it's going to be up for raffle soon so that a certain research website can get funds to pay for more researcy materials.. when it's up I'll post a link in chit chat so if you're interested in it at all... the raffle tickets will be more than reasonable. It's mostly in size 14 beads with the fringe and the necklace part in size 11's.

I just pulled the stuff out for my front apron, then I've gotta redo my mocs, start on my vest, then my bustle trailers, then I've got about 36 feathers that need to be beaded for my dance staff :S

Feathers are easy, just a pain, lol.

I'm still working on a design for my sons sash for gourd dance. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be all geometrical with Cheyenne colors but instead of the round ones, I'm gonna do them flat. Wierd I know. But I'm not ready to peyote stitch...LMAO.

Other than that, I was working like a mad woman to fringe shawls. I got 5 done in a 13 days.....I love it when I have time, but it's tedious.

My next project though is making my oldest son a beaded vest. I just gotta invest in the beads.

Me . . . im stressing right now. My 7 yr old is a little heavy, and Im trying to make a southern cloth trade dress for her. Ive been to every material store in the four couners region and just cant seem to find the right material for the dress. "Red" is what my daughter said. So im still looking.

My 2 yr old has grown alot. Her jingle dress is up to her knees, so I have to lengthen her dress for her. But every time she sees her dress, she'll take off with it, and put it on. So right now I have my hands full.

thats what u get 4 breaking my heart...

                                  by dancingwater
I'm starting on my leggings and hairties for my jingle outfit. I'm using the lap pads (crib liners) for the leggings, but someone here suggested using vinyl placemats for beadwork, and I went out looking for some, but the closest thing I found was at Kmart, its by Martha Stewart, called Heavy Duty...

                                  Hi,
I am new to PowWows.com. I am an amature beader. I love making earrings. My daughter is a fancy shawl dancer. I have made her earrings. But now I want to make the hair barrette for the back of her head. And would like to know if anyone could tell me how to get started. Do I bead each bead...

Does anyone use Inkle Looms for weaving sashes/garters for pow-wow regalia? I know it's not as nice as fingerweaving, but how accepted is it as an alternative? I've been seeing them quite often on Voyageur and French & Indian War reenactors.
