I'm sure it won't be long now and you'll have your first fish. I like to fish, but don't usually catch much. I think I can recall every fish I've caught over the past 25 years. Very cool beadwork there too, btw. LUV that design!
Speaking of moons (sorry guys) some minor miracle occurred and I'll be moon-free for this weekend's Sundance. I was very worried. Didn't think about the pill though...interesting.
I'm still working on SOMEBODY'S lame' ribbon shirt and sequin edged scarves (for Furiously Fancy). Then I have a jingle dress to do before Fort Hall Festival and have to roll the jingles myself. Ouch! I got my wax bath machine all ready for my sore hands....it is what it is...

Well I am getting ready to work on my state fair entry this year... going to do large purse out of black velvet with raised beadwork. I should be able to get it done in time even with fishing.. at least I hope LOL! I thought I was going to be doing someone's leggings but I've not recieved them yet so I wonder if he changed his mind or something.Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear... just sing, sing a song.sigpic

I've been working on a beaded set for a young girl for half a year. I put it aside a few times to order more beads and with the arrival of my new daughter, I haven't had time to sit down and finish it. Next will be my niece's 5th crown and beaded set. After that will be daughter's own beadwork and possibly my other niece, too. *Deep sighs* So much work to do..... I need another pair of hands.Last edited by ac_miss; 08-13-2007, 03:52 PM.Bead All You Can Bead

i just finished beading a rattle for my mrs......i started it over a year ago, but ive also moved twice since then. i have an old beaded medallion i need to do some repair work on but i need to find so beads that match better. the medallion part is in perfect condition but the dangles are missing in some places and my choices are either take off the rest of the originals and replace them all or find a better match of beads and save the original ones. to the best of my knowledge the medallion is from the 1940's. its not ancient, but still.
other than that ive been tossing around the idea of putting together a new dress for the mrs. i figure if i start now and bust azz i can have it done for her birthday next june
The older I get the less of a deterrent life without parole gets

It's crazeeee around my house! Gahhh...can't even see my table sometimes - LOL! I've been busy working on finishing beadwork up for one of my girls, who has finally decided to dance once again after almost three years of not dancing! She probably got tired of helping me with the sewing...cuz I told her if she's not going to dance then she has to help contribute her time to helping me make outfits. I'm happy for her so I told her I would make some items for her that she had so badly wanted! I'm also in the midst of making a fully beaded top, a pair of moccasins, another cloth dress & finish up a jingle dress for my baby girl. There's always projects to do, finish up or even redo...Sheeshhh...I need a clone!
But Boss, I am working!!......on finding my next pow-wow that is!

by dancingwaterI'm starting on my leggings and hairties for my jingle outfit. I'm using the lap pads (crib liners) for the leggings, but someone here suggested using vinyl placemats for beadwork, and I went out looking for some, but the closest thing I found was at Kmart, its by Martha Stewart, called Heavy Duty...

by jen_lee34Hi,
I am new to PowWows.com. I am an amature beader. I love making earrings. My daughter is a fancy shawl dancer. I have made her earrings. But now I want to make the hair barrette for the back of her head. And would like to know if anyone could tell me how to get started. Do I bead each bead...-

by J.L. BenetDoes anyone use Inkle Looms for weaving sashes/garters for pow-wow regalia? I know it's not as nice as fingerweaving, but how accepted is it as an alternative? I've been seeing them quite often on Voyageur and French & Indian War reenactors.
