I am making a tail fan and i need help on the handle part. I wanted to connect the feathers to dowels and then to the handle. I am very stumped on how to do this. If i can get an example I will post it. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Ok folks what's the best way to make a fan? I got a whole wing, should I just cover the end with leather or pluck feather and place it in a fan blank, or make a blank to go around the bottom of the wing and go from there? Thanks02-25-2005, 07:36 PM -
I've been putting my outfit together for about 2 years now and i'm just about through. My problem is i want to attach my fan to the back of my shield but have yet to think of an effective way to do so. Does any one have any info on how o make fans (flat or loose)???
and preferences on the feathers used to make them, i'm planing on using turkey tails.
