  • beadalon...?

So our local beadstore is closing...which sucks! They told me there is a bead store opened in the suburbs (hate the burbs, get lost so easy, hope I can find it). The store is called beadalon which i understand is a chain store (also not a fan of ususally, it's why I stay downtown) anyone know what they are like?

I bought a mat made from this company. Posted about it in the truck beading thread.
They have a webpage if u want to check out the goods.
Never been to a store of theirs tho

I've only used their beading wire for crystal beads. Too bad the local store is closing. I buy online, but too often end up with colors, finishes or sizes that aren't quite right.

They dont have a very big selection of beads and nothing smaller than 11/0

I use crazy crow for large orders and usually hit up a powwow or two in the area for smaller one or two hank orders
But I find that Crazy crow can usually beat there per hank price of 2.65 vs 3.00 per hank
Although I have heard of people having problems with them its been my experience that they are a good source of beads and various raw materials but I would not buy finished products from them. They do have a wide selection of colors and that is what I like about them the most!

        I usually bead with 12/0's and 13/0's

I went to Crazy Crow and I found German seed beads, italian, czech, etc, etc. I didn't realize there were so many types?...

            Need beads
            by alaskashadowwolf
Anyone know of some good places to get size 14/0 seed beads? I ordered some from crazy crow ($100 worth), but when I got my beads, depending on the color, they were different sizes. Is this the norm? My dad just got me started beading a month or two ago. It kinda screwed up my loom work when...

            What beads are you using?
            by TallmanFL
Most good beadworkers know that you can't make fine beadwork without starting with quality materials.

These days a lot of people seem to be using transparent beads with a lot of shine to them. So lets hear about what type of beads you are using, (size, style, Czech, French, other?)...
