Look at powwow vendors stands (that's where I got mine), or you'll probably have to order some online.

I really don't know much about dentalium, except that the traditional smooth dentalium (which are shells from a little sea creature) are impossible to find nowadays. I bought some ridged dentalium which were about 1 1/2" - 2" long and seemed fairly thick. Much of what you see for sale is thin and brittle. I made some earrings, but a couple of the shells broke.

eBay seems to have lots of dentalium for sale...mostly very small...just over 1/2". Hmmm...some are 1" - 1 1/2". Some are green...some are dyed.
    ...it is what it is...

Where to get the best Tipi
        by NotSoLarj
I have been looking for a tipi for a long time. When I have what I think is enough money, something comes up that I need it for, or I cannot find one. When I am broke I see several sites online.

So far Reese's Tipis look to be the best. To my untrained eye that is.
        Also where...

        Definitions Please!!
        by momme
There has been a lot of talk about Hobbiests, wannabees, plastic medicine men, twinkies and whatever all else.
Was wondering what everyone's definitions for all of these were?
Is there a fine line in there anywhere that throws a person from one category to another?
        Can you...

        Best Buckskin?
        by eap7
What is the best buckskin to use for a buckskin dress? Where do you get your buckskin from? In looking through the archives, some people recommended german tanned hides from Crazy Crow, while others thought they stretched out too much. Has anyone tried these? Suggestions? Thanks!!

        Giveaways

Your "handle" doesn't include where you are from so I can only tell you what we give up here in the Northern Plains: mainly starquilts, pendleton blankets, throw or cotton blankets, shawls, horses, money, sometimes bundles of yard goods or bath/kitchen towels, starquilt or throw pillows and...
