Those sold out quickly when I worked there. It's called Beading Foundation. It seems to work pretty good.

Bear, I never noticed it to get frayed where it was cut......

is it more or less expensive than the rubber sheeting? I pay 7 bucks for 4 lap pad sized pieces at walmart and that's alot of barrettes and rosettes..

BB... I paid like $6+ for a yard of the lap pad at joann's... it is back where they have the table cloth material.. mine had noah's ark on the back of it.

The other stuff is what I get at joann's in the interfacing dept. .... Really cheap per yard. ;)

                            Hello lovely beaders
the best stuff i have ever found is interfacing ironed on to denim patch--that stuff you use to cover the knees of your holey jeans. its the perfect stiffness and can be bought at walmart or a fabric store. you can use any weight of interfacing but i like to use a heavy one.

I've really enjoyed using the lappad.. it's not too thin or thick, my size 13 needels will pass through it easy and it does'nt stress out my thread. It's been cheap enough and just stiff enough yet i can bend it where I need to which is good for the comfort of my carpal tunnel hands.

I've yet to see it sold up her ein joannes Mato...
