Feather Work( Hair Ties & Bustles)
We northeasteners do alot of our hair ties and bustle work with pheasant & golden pheasant feathers. I have a couple of pics. We also ususally use turkey feathers for our fan work with overlay of pheasant feathers.
It is sticky work and if you have ever had to make many of them for a celebration like I have, you kind of have to take a time out from it for a while.
I have some pics, I will try to upload for you too see on the craft area, but I just got to find where I put them.

I think I archived them...I looked at past threads that are'nt archived and did'nt see them..I know I did'nt delete them so they must be archived...although I will check again cause I think one of the good threads we had on featherwork was under another topic like threadwork... that ring a bell PWB?

Featherwork Question
Seems everywhere I look these days, more and more people are doing featherwork on their eagle fans. This used to be more of a "southern style thing", but nowadays everybody seems to be doing it.
Of course, now I am hooked and want to redo my fan!
Does anyone have any information they could share with me? i.e. how to/technique? Where to get the feathers/what to use?
Any information would be really appreciated!
Thanks very much!!
