  • Rhinestone Questions

Hello, me again on this subject! Bought some Rhinestones that where way too small from http://www.frabels.com. Would it be better to use the ones that come on trim? And how do you apply it to your item (mine will be a crown and leggings) maybe some hairties as well. Need your advice BEFORE I buy some more;)

Depends on how they are mounted on the string. Around here they are mounted in a plastic setting (sometimes black, sometimes white) We just sew them on to the backing around the crown or design. Just tack them on after every one.

I personally think the smaller ones look better.

Ok, I was wondering on how to do that, and you gave me my answer. The ones that I had ordered where a 12ss! Frikin tiny, even had problems picking them up with tweezers

Got an email back from the company, and told them that I would like an exchange to a 34ss.. is that the right size for Regalia? anyone? The 12ss where smaller then an eraser on the end of a pencil:O

Like I said, I like the smaller ones to accent your beadwork. But it depends on personal preference. The ones I am talking about are not loose, but mounted in a plastic setting. Hope we are talking about the same type.

If you are unhappy with your choice, send them back and get larger ones. If you are unhappy now, you will be when your project is finished. Post some pics when you are done so we can all see.

          question?

This doesn't pertain to rhinestones, but "luvstraightdancrs" are you the one "State" says you do dynamite sewing? If'n so do you do sew or make straight dance clothes? Would like to see some of your work, if'n you do.
this is all i have to say

Yup I did send them back, I was talking to the Director of the company ,and he said a more suitable size would be 30ss.. more then double the size 12ss.. which is what I had

They are sending them out next week, and I hope it will work out. I checked out some Rhinestone trim, and it was $37.99 a meter! Good God!:O That is in Canadian Dollars, so I will hope for the best with this order...:D
