I am using feathers that are no more then 4' long. I want them to be able to spin or move while I dance, and they will be attached to a barrettte. You know, so they can move with the wind? I will have to see what I can come up with

Witchy woman you are talking about what we refer to as swivels and Egyptian Empress is talking about another piece of fishing tackle that is actually called a spinner, it's used to attach to a little grub to catch the fish's attention. Like a spinner bait if you bass fish. And the tear drop shaped piece of metal should be attached to the wire with a swivel so it will spin.
Egyptian Empress I've never done what you are talking about, but from the way you explained things I would say take the blade, tear dropped shaped metal, off the swivel if it has a key ring style ring if not maybe use a pair of wire cutters or needle nosed pliers to bend and break the blade off. Unless you want it left on. Not sure what you're looking for in appearances. And go from there. How big/what kind of feathers are you attaching? You could glue chain inside the quill like for tradish roach feathers and attach that to the swivel, for larger feathers. Or for small ones I'd wrap the floss around the quill and tie that to the swivel. Hope that makes sense. AND Hope I could help.

The spinners that I got are sliver, and there is a little silver "thingy" on the bottom like a tear drop. It is attached to something that looks like an L with a little clip on top, that I used to hook into the silver barrette.

Any ideas on how to do this? I also have some floss to wrap the feathers, but I really need to know to attach the feathers to the spinners

    Spinners For Feathers

OK, I finally got some "spinners" for feathers, you know how you want them to move around right? I have even got the good barretes from Nocbay, which have the hole on the end for attaching things, and even some #2 safety pins, oh wait, even some colored floss
Now how in gods name do I attach them to the spinners?
