How do you all thread, and attach fire polish beads to cowrie shells, and then to the hairtie? I am mystified as to do so, so please help me:)

Usually the shells have a hole in it already eh
Thread into hairpiece, thread through the beads through the shell back up through the beads and back into the hairpeice where you tie a knot or you can start on the next one

      Angie,

      Yeah, what eagleclan said.

      1-Go through the hairpiece
      2-Thread through the beads
3-At the end, go through the cowrie shell
4-Go back up through the beads again
5-Knot it at the top once you go back through the hair piece.

Well this is what I did, before getting the chance to log back on and read this post... hmmmmm

        1) I found some "waxed" sinew, and pulled it into two pieces.

        2) Threaded it thru the Cowrie shell, then tied a not at the back so it would not slide out.

3)Threaded fire polish beads, 1/2' hair pipe, and silver beads onto the "waxed" sinew...

4)Now I am wondering how to attach that to the beaded piece, you know the Cowrie shells and beads hanging on the end of the piece... Does that make any sense to you? well it did work out well for me, all I need to do is get the beaded piece and attach that to the four pieces of shells and beads

Find a big needle to thread the *sinew* there are needles out there big enough, and it probably would have made the threading of your beads n stuff quicker :)
          Future reference I guess eh?

So what are you making the hairpeices for?
