Ive seen turkey "fluffs" that look like that. And also haclkes like what fancy feather dancers use on their Bustles and arm bands. Thay come in variouse colors ive seen jingle gals hang hackle's from their braids or attached to their hair ties. And al these are legal.

umm no, not plumes - plumes are fluffy - I seen these look like small feathers - they are white with black tips - and people make fans with them - like miniature fans but I don't know where they get the feathers.

best bet if you are looking for the real things I honestly would ask around...you might find some ppl who are willing to do a trade for them...ex: make a fan for them, or house chores, or bead something they would like etc.. stuff like that.
just make sure you have your card when asking just to protect yourself.

if you want immitation, I thought I saw those on matoska.com
I know of 4 place you can check on line:
                  matoska.com
                  crazycrow.com
                  nocbay.com
wanderingbull.com or it might be wanderingbullinc.com

Yes, you are talking about scalp feathers, and as apache stated, "pit feathers". They come from around the eagles wing. I've bought some once that were fakes, they cost me 10 cents each, but I haven't seen them since.

yes, and you can get them at crazy crow trading post. They are white florettes with dyed tips. That's where a place I worked at got them and kept them in stock.

As I continue to travel more and more, I find people (especially younger people) "ASKING" for Eagle feathers or things with them (i.e. fans).

As a young person, I marveled over those who had full bustles and large fans. Primarily because they were so few and far between. Now...
