Finished this fan for my son to match his bustle this morning. It's the first one I've made in this style.

Well, I had a bit of a vacation but I have done a few things since I last posted to this thread. I will have to try and get pics of my carvings I did while I was in Tuk and carving with my wife's uncle. While I was in Tuk I did make myself a new pair of partially beaded mocs. This is them...they are made with 11/0 czech beads on Elk hide with rawhide soles.Attached FilesPB49

Now, before I left I finished a roach but I didn't get pics of it, before I shipped it so I will have to see if the customer will send me a pic of himself wearing it that I can post. I also finished a fan for BlackBear's daughter Tay and this is it. It is made with green wing macaw feathers and has florette shingling and round wrap quilling on the extensions. It is not beaded because Blackbear wanted to do that part herself.PB49

is'nt that sweet????? The colors are much brighter than the picture though..my daughter was estatic when I told her it was for her! I've still got to bead it , but I've been in the process of finishign beading the fan I am making for my sister. It's not quite as nice a job in my opinion but I'll post pics of it when I'm done... But this fan Bum made is absolutely GORGEOUS!Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear... just sing, sing a song.sigpic

by powwowbum49Well, as if I don't have enough other projects going right now I have decided to try my hand at silverwork. I have a ton of it that I need for new dance clothes for my family so I figured I should see if I am any good at it. I have been picking up a few tools and am waiting on some sheet metal to arrive...

Does anyone have a picture of one to post on here? If I can see it I can figure...-

by keelerHey all'
I'm just looking for some input. I have a few ?s reguarding roaches.
1. I noticed that the current trend seems to be longer is better. Is there a general consensus on prefered length for grass dancers?
