          • Just finished this as a surprise for a young girl I am helping to bring her jingle dress out next year. The wrapping on the quills is different colors of sinew instead of thread. The macaw one is an order for another jingle dancer.

            • This is a doll I made for a charity auction. She's a bit hard to see; this pic was taken through the display case during gallery night.

This is the first time, I've made one with a buckskin covered wooden body. Shouldn't have carved her right arm at her side tho', cause she looks like she doesn't have one, LOL.

                    • She is truly exquisite --- what a wonderful gift to whomever wins. I think her arm is perfect, by the way; if you've looked at some of the "live" dancers in buckskin, we can
often look as if we have no arms.

                      Namaste

                        Cherokeemom,

She is a lucky young one to have you put such care into the making of her fan - it's lovely. The same can be said for the jingle dancer. Very nice work !

Well, as if I don't have enough other projects going right now I have decided to try my hand at silverwork. I have a ton of it that I need for new dance clothes for my family so I figured I should see if I am any good at it. I have been picking up a few tools and am waiting on some sheet metal to arrive...
