Nice work bwhite. What did you use to make you design on the extensions? I'm getting ready to start my bustle (Tradish swing)finally and I've thought about thread wrapping, but I'm not sure if I want to go all out on my first bustle. The things you are doing today are the traditions of twenty-five years from now.

Finally got pics up for Jimmy and Nicole's first outfits:
Nicole (Fancy Shawl):
Jimmy (N. Tradish):
I figured since I made everyone else something I couldn't leave out the littlest one. So I made Dylan a set of aprons yesterday morning. As soon as I got them finished I told him to come here so I could put them on. He walked over and turned his back to me, raising his arms. While I'm trying to tie them on he's trying to dance in place. Then as soon as I finished, away he went dancing all over the house for almost an hour straight. I actually had to fight with him to take them off. Man did he get mad!!!! What makes this funny is Dylan is only 17 months old. I think we might have a serious dancer in the family!!!!!!!!
After my wife Pam saw him, she is making him a ribbon shirt today, so he'll look good on Saturday!!!! LOL
KIDS GOTTA LOVE EM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll post a pic of Dylan as soon as I get a chance.Last edited by spottedeagle; 08-07-2003, 10:49 AM.The things you are doing today are the traditions of twenty-five years from now.

Home Repairs SUCK!!!!!!!!!!
Gawd ... I am falling behind, anything that could go wrong around the house has the past little bit, but I am trying to get back on track. Here is my latest finished piece (yes it is another roach...LOL...what did you expect).
This is beardancers roach and is pretty much a standard 20" in and out, except for the extra colors. This pic is of the inside and I will post another of the outside.Attached FilesPB49

PB49, do you ever make any to sell? I wanna get my little brother one, but as he is a Punk/Goth like me, I've had trouble finding someone who does good custom jobs that can do his in Black and blue with mebbe a few white streaks thrown in for color. The tips would be black, with the base of it being different shades of blue and interspersed with white streaks. You feel me?
PM me and let me know if you would do it and what you would charge. I can also send you a drawing of the design if you want.Mad Scientists Union Local 42

by powwowbum49Well, as if I don't have enough other projects going right now I have decided to try my hand at silverwork. I have a ton of it that I need for new dance clothes for my family so I figured I should see if I am any good at it. I have been picking up a few tools and am waiting on some sheet metal to arrive...

by keelerHey all'
I'm just looking for some input. I have a few ?s reguarding roaches.
1. I noticed that the current trend seems to be longer is better. Is there a general consensus on prefered length for grass dancers?
2. I'm just getting back to the trail after several years of...-
