I'm sorry guys I would do these for you if I had the time and in the future I will, but right now I committed to making some beadwork for someone and it's a bit extensive so it will be at the minimum a month before I can do another tutorial ok? If I can find the pattern I used for Tahemets, I will show you kinda the shape you need to make it and then attaching a zipper is all too easy. Honestly they are'nt as imposing to make as they appear unless you want it all beaded and well, that much beading is imposing to anyone LOL!

This would be a good one! I could try to post a couple pics, as I'll be doing some leggings this week or next, but I'm interested in how other people do theirs.:)

                boys leggins...

Boys dont wear the same style of leggings as girls.
Girls have leggins that go from (about) the knee to the ankle, where boys usually have pants. some times ive seen men with chaps style leggings, but most of the guys ive seen have pants..

                  Boy's/Men Leggings

Most of the ones I see are the "chaps style". That is how I made mine. That way when it is hot you can leave them off and just wear aprons and side tabs over a pair of shorts. I used the Missouri River Pattern to make mine and my oldest son's. Basically all you are doing is taking a piece of buckskin as long a little longer than the leg from the waist down. Wrap it around the leg, cut it at an angle from the hip to the groin so it will wear comfortably. Sew up the outside and either leave them with flaps or fringe the excess buckskin. Then sew a tab at the top on the front out side edge so you can tie it to a belt.

You can also do it in cloth. Which is how I made my son's. It's all the same basic idea.
The things you are doing today are the traditions of twenty-five years from now.

                            Wapum stich

The stich is so easy that you will never again do beading any other way.
First you find out how many beads are in one row, put them on a thread, then take the first bead of the second row and go through it and the top bead of the first row. When you exit the first bead of the second row you attach the second bead and go through the second bead of the first row(the one beside it) go up through the first bead and come out of the bottom of the second bead now when you add the third bead just go through the one beside it up one more and go back down.
If you need a attern i would be happy to make one for you. This is so simple that you can cover anything in beads. If you realise that you amde a mistake ,,,like six rows back. don't worry, cut that one bead out and do the same stich again with the correct color. You can even do portraits like this, why do paint by numbers when you can do Wampum painting!!!!!!!!
