I'm making a new regalia for myself (a dentalium shell dress), my 10 yr old is getting mostly new regalia, but using same apron and bustle (he dances tradish) and my baby is getting his first regalia. Thats what I'm working on for family. 2 of my friends daughters are getting new fancy shawl regalia and my other friends daughter is getting traditional regalia (Innuit style)

I am working on my back trailer type thing, some people call it a train. Not quite sure but it will be fully beaded with a floral design to match the rest of my beadwork. I also have started a set of beadwork for my sons girlfriend and I have to finish edging a small set for my friends daughter.

I made a Eastern Woodlands Turkey Beard Roach, a Eastern Woodlands Porky Roach, a featherd scalplock, a neck knife and sheath. My wife made me 2 new sets of eastern woodlands center seam leggings with breech cloths and a Revoltionary War Brittish Loyalist frock trophy coat. We are in the mad rush to get all our regalia finished before our first pow wow this year which is in less than a month. We got all the big projects done just finishing up the little extras that make it all come together.

I know that I am running out of time... Our first event is March 7th.... and since Feb has only 28 days, that makes my time even shorter....Thankful for the blessing from the Creator in my life!!!!

Ya'll gonna post some of your projects? I'm working on bead orders and trying to get my beadwork done for my new outfit. LOL I haven't officially danced for alot of years so I'm not in a hurry to get mine done.
I am finishing up a beaded roach spreader for my youngest and then will start a harness for my oldest. Kids sure keep you busy don't they.
Powwow is next weekend and I'm trying to get the youngest fixed up for that. I will have everything done except his mocassins. Whew!!! I am so excited though cuz I miss pws.The trouble with life is there's no background music!!!

Here is Jim's coat, leggings and Eastern Woodlands breech cloth that I just finished( put the last touches on it today).... I have got to get him a shirt made. I just finished washing the material for that so after I get my repairs done on my buckskins (I am taking them in), I'll zip that shirt up...
Soon as I get the ribbon on the leggings I'll post a shot of my new Eastern Woodlands....Attached FilesThankful for the blessing from the Creator in my life!!!!

I know for many of us, the fall and winter times are times for planning, creating and designing new dresses and beadwork. Is anyone planning any different designs, or sticking to your own unique style, or anyone going old style, going contemp? What are your plans for the long cold season ahead of us...

Getting back into dancing after nearly a 20 year absense. No real "connections" here where I now live, so I have been "out of touch" for a while. Anway,...-

by FancyGokhosHello everyone. I am posting this primarily for insight because I am new to the art of fancy feather dancing. I have danced the style for a long time, but I do not own the proper regalia. As a matter of fact, I don't own any. That being said, I would like to know, based on the experience of other...
