hmm same here, take a small inventory myself (and possibly make a stop by the local lake to see if the water fowl have shed yet ... as the do every spring (city lake and all feather are free to the public)
I have to look around to see what I got for trade, but I'd be willing to buy the fringe off you.
I know that I have 4 yards of black fabric that has small pink flowers about the size of a pencil eraser and I have about 4 yards of dark orange with small print on it...
Goodness knows what else I have hiding in the tubs stacked around my apartment and what I have in storage..... I haven't even looked yet... will have a list in a few days....
Sure do. Yah lookin for silky look? I think i got some right up your alley if so :D
Hmmmm....looking for a matte satin I think. I have some light pink satin already for the rose applique but I could use a dark pink solid matte satin (not too shiny) for the cape and leggings. The dress is gonna be a calico print.

Hey Tibi, this was a good idea. I have tons of supplies like feathers, some furs, extra beads, cedar, etc. and I'm looking for a new jingle dress but of course money is always tight. I can swing the material and bias tape but not the jingles. Anyone wanna trade?
To all those of you now looking at this, I have a question, as a collector of sorts of craft materials would it not be nice to have our own gathering so to speak where we can mention what we have and what we are short of, NO not a trading post but a craft bin where we can help each other? I know lots of you that are very short on cash and need things, there are things I have that would be able to help others here. I for one always look for the stuff that is hard to find and hord it in big totes and then at powwow end up bring folks home and passing it on to them. My best example that I can give on that is "Road Quill" out in BC, she came for a few minutes, yep a cup of tea, ended up to be years worth of visits and lots of Porky quills. As a starving artist she now has finally gotten a wee bit of lime light and recognition. Her pic with her quill ball is in my album and her write up in canoe.ca.
So thanks for reading this and tell me what you would like to see here! Swap meet once a week????
Well, as if I don't have enough other projects going right now I have decided to try my hand at silverwork. I have a ton of it that I need for new dance clothes for my family so I figured I should see if I am any good at it. I have been picking up a few tools and am waiting on some sheet metal to arrive...

It seems as if most of us Indians have given up on the pow wow trail. I use to attend no matter how few of us there were but now even the die hards are staying away. It has become the unspoken word.
The only pow wow's that I can find my people at are tribal. Is anyone else seeing this?...
With all the discussion of cheesey and stereotypical projects in schools, does anybody have some good ones for little kids?
My grandson's preschool teacher has asked my daughter to do some kind of presentation for a "Native American" day. She is going to have someone make frybread....
