Whoa, do you realize that's pretty mean? I don't intend to flame, but how about your quotes something something "all that matters are the lives you touch". Does that count touching them in a bad way? By typing mean things on the computer? It's just a crying shame that people with so much to share, who could spread so much good around, ridicule people who have their heart in the right place, but have the wrong parents. Why is ok for some groups of people to be prejudiced but not ok for others? It makes you a far worse person than those you ridicule when you stoop to that.
Back to the twinkie dance. Does the Creator really think that is a good use of time in the circle? Or does the Creator even think it's funny for one of it's creations to ridicule and disrespect another of it's creations when all they are doing is searching it out? UGH!! I know it was sarcastic and meant to be humorous. Sad, just really freaking sad and disgraceful to me. These posts actually make me feel like weeping, but I suppose that would be funny too?

      Princess Frozen Butt,
You could try a little further north but even the polor bears are having trouble there, their butts are thawing too.

You voiced what I wanted to say but didn't. I was hoping the polor bears would cerry my hidden message. We can weep together.

Their hearts in the right place... do you know how many times that we hear that... I'm Native cause my hearts in the right place... blah blah blah... go try to sell that somewhere else... because my heart is tired of hearing that one....

Sorry but what my elders handed down to me is NOT for for me to teach to every wannabe half baked lunatic that comes down the pike with the insane idea that their grandmother is a princess or their father is a chief or that some new age mumbo jumbo lakota medicine man taught them ... If your father is full blood or a cheif then you would know their name and their family line, I damn sure know mine.... and there are not any princesses or chiefs or medicine men in my family tree.....

so your trying to shame me amuses me.. but then again I am a bit of a cynic...if that makes me the bad guy then so be it... I am tried of being nice to the huddled masses.....

and if the polar bears get me then whoohooo I won't have to listen to the princess story any more unless the polar bears have princesses......

why is it that when we laugh off the mocery of another wannabe, are tired of yet another culture vulture and sick to death of the twinkies twisting what is sacred to us into some new age mess, we are the ones being racist? BS!!!! Thats what that is. Try to cover these actions by pointing the finger back at us all you want. We have been called every name in the book ALL our lives, we can take it. But it will not change the fact that we will not give away our culture...it's all we got left cause everything else was stolen. Guess what, our culture is where we draw the line!!!

                steelemagnolia63,
I think you are missing my point here. If you read my posts to this young woman you will see that I also believe in protecting the sacred knowledge passed down from our elders. Many died protecting and preserving that wisdom. However, how we treat our brothers does matter. Do you laugh at the problems our brothers the polar bear are enduring? Do you find it humorous? If not then how is it that you find it humorous to laugh at questions asked in an innocent way? Can we not gently explain that these things are not shared, especially on an open forum? It is not what you are saying but the rude and insensitive way in which you are saying it that I am saddened by. In the long run, it is what will this woman (our sister) walks away with that matters to me. So I do not share the knowledge but I do share a love and appreciation for anyone seeking to find their own spiritual truth. I support her quest for knowledge and will offer suggestions as to how she can continue her search in a culturally respectful way. The end result is the same, she does not receive the sacred knowledge, BUT she does receive the respect every brother and sister of mine deserves. Human Beings or polar bears it makes no difference to me; they are both my brothers and deserve my love, respect and prayers on their behalf of their struggles in life.
                We are all related!

Wangi Chetan this has nothing to do about the life of the Polar Bear, it is being used as a metaphor! If we can not laugh here on this board the seriousness would be intollerable to some of the BS that is here. I am an animal lover and have never felt any negative feelings when using metaphors. So if you think we are here to insult bears you are mistaken.

steelemagnolia63 & SuzzeQ4 it seems we have touched nerves and hurt someones feelings. No one thinks about ours though as you say! The street here seems to be one way only and not a two way.

It is true, the real teachings are not meant to be posted here where they can be used and abused and ridiculed. So for the lakota doctorates with the walmart certificates, please step carefully and do not step on the bear droppings as you leave!

LOL... if I got upset everytime someone attempted to piss me off, shame me into something, or just be a general nuisance on one of the boards that I am on then I'd spend all my time in a corner playing with the dust.... and I don't have time to play with the dust. I am much to busy being a who I am and very happy in my skin :) I have third world nations to topple, find a cure for stupid, a real life with a real job and try to keep up with my amazing husband who has less tolerance or patience than I do....

I am bone tired of being pestered to death by the "culture vultures (thanks Suzz can I use that?) who seem to find me every where I go and bug the devil out of me. I am tired of being nice, I am tired of being polite to them, so now I am going to try it the other way!!! don't go away mad just go the *$&# away.... I think that there must be a flashing sign above my head that says aske her she won't bite your head off... well guess what I will bite you head off and then dribble it around the block.... One can only stand som many people shoving cameras in your face, pulling on your reaglia, touching things that aren't thiers, and holding you up while the MC is yelling your name because you are needed in the circle....Whoever is telling them that I am a nice lady stop it.... cause I am tired of playing nice....

Good grief how does anyone get that I am against the polar bears???? Geez some folks need to get a real liife that does not involve the computer and pull their heads out of the behinds....

She didn't post about how she told off the culture vulture, she didn't tell anyone here to goto hell, she just yawned and complained...get a grip people...i wonder about those who are so protective of such people.

its funny because smudge sticks are not exclusive to North America... and if you really want to make a point, start protesting the ones they sell in stores. Thats appropriation at its finest. Maybe its just easier to take on a single person than a company I guess...
