Thanks very much for your reply FireAndFlint,

I agree completly that anything given by a friend has big value...
I am now growing lavander for example, and I am preparing little bags by hand with embroderie. By the time the lavander is ready.. I will dry it and fill the little bags with it. To give away to by best friends and those people who had been realy helpfull in times of need, these last months..
But not only will I fill it with lavander, but also with all my love and thankfullness...and hopes for them...

I'm confident I will find the answers. The questions would never have come to me, otherwise...
    Thanks!

    Have a nice week!

    @SuzzeQ4 and Flying_Raven:

You are right... I allready did try to reply to this, but somehow I don't see my reply here?
I am not a christian, I do walk the path of the ancient believes.
Only, living on an island in Spain, doesn't make things easier (who said it was going to be easy?), so for the moment being, internet is my door to the outer world and one of the ways to learn.
People come and go on my path, and I try to learn from everyone of them..

Thanks for replying to my post..

There are many varieties of sage out there, from wee crawlers to big plants, all have a nice aroma though not the same. I have 4 varieties now in my yard and all are vastly different from each other.
I am still hoping to get more and grow them so that they become used to growing side by side in my sandy soil. For the past 4 years I have gifted plants to others so that we can share the meds within our circles.

From the mountains in Oregon and British Columbia I am still wanting the sage that grows like rosemary but smells like lavender! I was gifted a stick of this and the energy from it is so nice. So a big Meegwetch to the person that sent it to me!

    Flying Raven, I agree.
I would not be surprised if after connecting with the traditional peoples of your land that you will discover a native type of sage that grows in your land. If not sage I am sure that Creator provided sacred herbs for the people and one or more of those sacred herbs will provide you with what you need. Mother Earth provides for all regardless of where we live or what "religion" we choose.

Europeans had spirituality before christianity, this would be worth your time to learn as it should feel very real to you as it would be the ways of your ancestors.

    Thanks for your reply...
I understand now that you don't post it on the net...and I don't feel unconfi with it..
(we circuspeople don't teach anyone our language or habbits neither just like this ;) )
It is exactly as you say: books ect.. isn't real answers. This is how I came on this site...because I am looking for the real ones, and even if I don't get them here and now, it doesn't mean that I don't get answers.. just other answers..
About spirituality...: happy to read this words from you..
I am not christian, I was not baptised. My parents believed in my own free will, I had to make my own choices growing up.
And I am walking on the path of the ancient believes..I listens to Nature, and I listen to what my dreams come and tell me. And I listen to my feellings and messages, especialy when I know that these are brought to me from the Other Side. and believe me, I am not a kind of freak... I am 50, and I am aware of the choice I make.
My daughter is walking this path with me.. from her own free choice..both of us in its own way.. and we are proud of it.
Funny how last week I was able to speak up in this catholique country!and tell someone: I am not a christian.. Middleages are long gone, but still this is a tabu...

    Still, thanks for your reply...
Here where I live it will be very hard for me to find an Elder... but I am confident that one will come on my way, when Spirit decides I will be ready for it..
So in the meanwhile I keep on learning....thank you all for teaching me...<3

It is not that I just had an idea.. being some stupid pale face woman from the other side of the ocean...
Simlpy I don't think I first have to write down my life here before asking a question..
A few years ago I have been performing in Holland with a group of Native dancers and they are fine people. I would love to see them again, but my work brought me on a island in the mediterrenian, maybe because of living on an island... Faith gave me the possibility and time to sit and think.
Over the internet I met some realy fine people and time openend the door that has been closed for all those years... and brought me back to my earliest memories and the dreams that had been given to me as a child.
They where there, never realy gone, but came back now and Thinking of sitting down with an Elder... and yes.. (I know) bringing him tobbaco.. at this moment of my life is only a dream.
We were suposed to perform in the USA some years ago, but than Katrine came washed away not only so many lives, but also our hopes to get there.
Time will tell and as I respect all living things on this Earth, I also respect time.. because even if we cannot touch it, we live in it.

And Josiah , lol, I don't feel any needs of stopping at Walmart its to far driving from Spain ;D
    But thanks anyway....<3

    Mammaflora,

You are on the right track; spend as much time as you can in meditation on the things you want to know and you will again "I feel blessed with the fact that I received the gift of comprehension".

One of the most valuable lessons I have learned is to stop focusing on time because it only exists in this reality. As you seek and receive spiritual knowledge you will learn that we are given what we need when we need it. This is not an easy transition; at least it was not for me. I was 35 and felt like I needed to learn quickly because I had missed so many years. I was given my true “spiritual calling” when I turned 50. At first I thought I should have started this sooner. I quickly understood I started when the time was “ready” and “ready” has no connection to a clock or a calendar. Feel free to email me @ [email protected].

Thank you for replying, and even if (like Joe's Dad said) it may not be the answers you want to hear, they are answers... and I accept them.

There is a way of saying what I always keep in mind:
Don't waste the precious time of others, if you don't intend to respect the wisdom they offer you..

So I thank you for your wisdom and I will respect your answers...

    Enjoy your sunday....

    No tension here...
The thing about just typing answers you can only speculate on the emotions on the other end

    Greetings, all.

I am an American with no Native ancestry. And yet, since I was a teenager (for 9 or 10 years now), since I first was exposed to Native American beliefs, I have felt strongly drawn to them. My experience and knowledge up until now comes primarily from sources within circles...

I guess this is a native issue -

Sometime back someone suggested I check out this place. I thought to have found a place where people got along with each other, but in my case that didn't happen. There were threads started by others here that not only caught my interest, but also prompted...

    Boozhoo niji,

I know this one is gonna start some fires, so be it. This have been bugging me for a couple of months and now I am bringing it out into the open for everyone to attack, flame, ridicule and possibly even get banned over.

How should mixed bloods honor Indian ancestors?

If I may, I'd like to ask a question of those of you who are full blooded Indian or mixed but living as Indian. I am mixed, but live as white and consider myself white. I'm not trying to make myself an Indian. I do try to learn about and honor all my ancestors and I've been learning about my native...
