How many of you that have a tipi are now considering not bringing it to events, selling your truck and going to a smaller vehicle, going to a smaller tipi or just not bringing the tipi to dances because of the costs? Being where I am, gas is a big consideration in bringing a 17' tipi out of state unless there is some GOOD prize money, or that is my only camping venue or just to do it anyway. Do you think this will effect tipis at any dances coming up that you go to.

For me, especially in the hot months, unless there's a tipi competition or it's a paid tipi display, i'll leave the tipi at home and take my $49.95 10 x 12 foot Walmart Dome tent, unless i'm staying in a hotel. It's not so much the cost of gas as it is the heat of summer.
Now in the colder months, i'll be more prone to take the tipi with it's campfire, or the trapper tent (which now has a LP My Buddy Heater).
I love my tipi's but it is a lot of work to set it up.

I love my tipi's. I'll never be homeless with them.
