• Anderson Indiana Powwow Tipi Camp and Competition Sept 6, 7 and 8, 2013

    Do you own a tipi?

If so, come on up, or down, or over, to the Anderson Indiana Powwow Tipi Camp on September 6, 7 and 8, 2013.

They're looking for tipis and are willing to pay $50 gas money for the first 20 tipis there.

They're also having a tipi competition with the top 3 places receiving Prize Ribbons and Cash Prizes.

This event is in a downtown city park, with security. Tipi owners are able to drive to the set up site. Onsite food vendors, safe water source, bathrooms and porta johns.

If you're interested or want more details please contact me at [email protected] (i'm trying to help them out) or the man in charge of the tipi camp, Jim Thiemet at ThiemetMadcofcu.org

    I'll be there, will you?

    Tim Deane

It's the 10th Annual Andersontown Powwow, in Anderson IN.

The tipi camp/village is located just inside the front gate so all the powwow visitors are able to walk through among the tipis.

It's a good powwow, lots of dancing, good drums, good vendors, and for me, the tipi competition and being able to camp with a lot of other tipi owners.
