Hello i am making 2 grass regalias for my 2yr and 8yr. old. I would really like to know how to attach ribbon or yard on regalia (shirt and bottom part). and i am thinking on using yarn. a tutorial would be great. thanks if anyone could help.

Hi i have a 8yr. and a 2 yr. I started making them rossettes out of yard and mirrors and the head rossette. My question is what is easier ribbon or yarn to sew on a shirt and the bottom part (like a brech clot). I want to use the yarn but i like the way the ribbon moves. Yarn is cheaper too. I have been working on a new apron set for my outfit. In the past I have used leather fringe, but this time I thought I would try out the modern style and attach the satin ribbon. I do not know the way of attaching one at a time or if there is a better way to attach them all at the same time.

I am currently trying to find rayon ribbon for my tradish regalia. My tribe use to use two strands of rayon ribbon for hat bands after we left the turban behind. But I have no idea what rayon ribbon is or where to find it.11-24-2007, 07:32 PM

Anyone see a move of some to use chainette fringe instead of yarn or ribbon, or maybe chainette and ribbon? Ive seen a few lately, its kind of a retro look back to the 60's and 70's still kinda cool. What do y'all think? The stuff really moves much better than yarn.
