As I read this story when it first came out I had a strange combination of rage, tears and a joy for a spirit set free. The same emotions washed over me as I read it again. Thank you for posting it Riverwind I had lost the url to that page and really wanted to read it again. I now have it on my HD because it shows so well a Mothers Love, a Family's Love, A Clan's Love and a Villages Love. This is a long article but well worth taking the time to read.
That little girl must be a strong person and her family and friends too. That was an awesome story! I wanted to cry but my sis sorta told me about it already and ruined it for me.
I had just got done doing a cultural sensitivity seminar for the medical students here and noone in the class had a clue when i talked about the village raising the children rather then the dominant socieites way of mother father, and they couldnt comprehend children being sensitive to another child who is in need within our native communites, or much less having the support of a family and community.
It went way over their heads. I have to go back for another seminar and Im going to take this articel with me. MAYBE they will get some sort of understanding nto what I was trying to say.
In the news all you here about is death, destruction etc etc articles like these are a welcome and touching addition to anyone lives who read them. This was an aweseom story :)
A Warrior without character is nothing more than a brute.
I know, what a mind screwing experience. I wanted to know how ur dealing with this love issue, may it be the person of your dreams, your car, your kids, your parents, your feet......
Give me a clue how you knew it was love.
I have been through this concept over and over. I realize...
THIS IS SPECIAL A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to
8 year olds, "What does love mean?"
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:
