Can some one help me out with either learning how to make a rosette or direct me to someone I can buy one from. I have a design, just don't know how to do it. I'm looking for a 4" rosette for the center of the bustle I'm about to start making.

    Thanks Joe

Joe have you checked out the beading videos by full circle videos? Many libraries carry them...and they are often up for sale on ebay too. They have on making rosettes (i.e., applique...one video on single needle and one video on 2 needle). They are very good instructional videos...check them out.

My comments are based on what I have been taught and my experiences over the years I have been around the circle. They should in no way be taken as gospel truths and are merely my opinions or attempts at passing on what I have learned while still learning more.

Blackbear was explaining how to make a rosette to me last night. Doesn't sound that hard.....I might have to give it a try, then if I don't like it find someone to make me one. How much does a nice 4" rosette go for anyways?

rosettes aren't that hard to make. I haven't made a big one yet.. just made some earrings and other smaller rosettes.

Well for what you are wanting and described and the size... I'd be charging you 65.00 for it. Now I don't know if that's a good price or not... but I'm guessing you are wanting it in cut beads so it sounds fair to me LOL!!

Rosettes are a great beginner 2-thread tacking project! (aka applique:p)

I seem to remember typing directions on here before somewhere. Just start with one nice round bead in the middle, and do your rows from there.

                    how to make "lady" earrings
                    by Dreams of Eagles
I have seen these earrings all over the place. I'm not sure if they are flat peyote or brick stitch. I have seen them as both earrings are the lady or one is a lady and one is a man. Everyone that I have asked doesn't have a pattern, they just know how to make them!

                    I could just buy a...
