Generally for Czechs in 10", 12 loop hanks...

        11/0 -- 24,
        12/0 -- 30,
        13/0 -- 36

for charlottes it is hard to say, 'cause it seems like everyone splits their hanks up into different numbers of loops. (Does anyone else remember the late '80's when 13/0 cuts were in such short supply some folks were selling half hanks of some colors?)

            How long..............
            by lsijohn
Some time back I was reading a thread in this section that gave an estimate how many hours it usually takes to use one hank of beads, working continuously.

            Anyone remember that estimate???

            To Czech or Miyuki? LOL
            by Joe's Dad
So I'm trying to figure out some colors for some beadwork and been reading some of the other threads...and I got to thinking...

Do different type beads serve different purposes?

Seems like Czech beads would work well for applique or 2-thread beading.

            And it seems...

            Mixing cut and seed beads
            by wyo_rose
Do you ever mix some seed beads in with your cut beads on a project?

I do with my size 10/11 cuz it's so hard to find the cuts around here without paying $8 a hank.

But now all I can find is some blue, dark blue and green size 10. And I searched EVERYWHERE! (except my...

how to get that shading effect
            by marnie2
I don't know if anyone can help me with this. I have long admired Edgar Jackson's work, among others, with that beautiful shading with beads in pictorial bead art. I have finally clicked with 2 needle applique but not sure how to achieve that coloring. There's so many beaders I would love to sit...
