If anyone cares.......Indian House has been re-releasing the old American Indian Soundchief Records. They have been cleaned up and put on cassette.
My personal fav of these tapes is Chippewa/Cree Grass Dance Songs. ( Paul Eagleman, Charles Gopher, Bill Baker, John Windy Boy etc...)
For anyone looking for that classic Rocky Boy sound.....these tapes are great!

Indian house has had the Sound Chief recordings out for a while. I like some of the old Kiowa stuff and the ponca stuff.

If I do not know the answer someone else will!!!!

someone please help this native out...i have been looking all over the place for some old school little island cree, and i cant find it anywhere! i used to have a tape of theirs called "for old times sake" and it had some of the most beautiful songs i ever heard. and i miss them songs! so...

I am seeking Lakota Sioux..Rosebud area drum groups single downloadable songs or CDs cut by the drums themselves...

What are some good books about Native American life?

I'm looking for any novels that have good depictions of life in various Native American tribes. Non-fiction or fiction, it doesn't matter. I'd prefer stuff for young adult and adult, since I'm a bit too old to justify reading children's books.
