The Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic - FLHTCUI, has the best of everything including premium baggage handling capacity, cruise control, stereo, full instrumentation, and many comfort features.
This model has a newly designed, more rigid frame that eliminates the squirelliness in the rear suspension that riders used to complain about.
The other big change for 2009 is the 180 mm rear tire. That's about 7 1/2" wide, significantly wider than the old tire. The front tire is wider also and both tires are mounted on spiffy looking alloy wheels that have a turbine appearance, the best ever to appear on the big Glides. Together, the various changes improve the handling of the big Harley-Davidsons while retaining the character of the various models.
The change in suspension completes the ground up redesign of the touring motorcycles that began in 2007 with the introduction of the electronically fuel injected Twin Cam 96 cubic inch motor (1600 cc) and the six-speed Cruise Drive transmission. All changes together make the motorcycle much more refined and ready to convert new riders.
