Hi again, hope everyone is doing well.
I was wondering how some of you celebrate the holidays. Do you celebrate the Christian holiday of Xmas, or the traditional Native celebration of the solstice, or other holiday traditions.
I celebrate the traditional Solstice, going to the "Give-Away", and thanking the Grandfathers and Grandmothers, for returning the sun for the new season. Eating traditional foods, like corn soup, and frybread. We traditional have kind of a pot-luck kind of dinner celebration. But be for we eat, we stand around the fire-circle, offering the 4 sacred grasses, to the 4 directions. The first plate it prepared, and offered the spirits, who have come to join us in our celebration.
Happy holidays to all of you..
