  • Oh, that's so sad. Just when you were celebrating his birthday too. That's really sad. I was at my uncle's funeral two years ago and it was good to see all the family. I kept thinking it was a shame that the only time we all get together like that is when somebody passes.

    I was closer to one particular aunt than my own mother. She was her older sister and was the one who taught me Indian crafts. She was so wise and she had no daughters of her own, only sons, and OH did she want a girl... so we fit together just perfectly.

    I know too, that the family won't get together again until the next family member dies.

    I'm glad you were able to honor the passing of your husband's uncle, and very sorry for your loss.
