Hehehe... I am experiementing with the tooth pick version almost all day. I put on each tooth pick end a seed bead, so the thread won't fall off but to keep the picks in line I have to cover it all with salad tape just leaving enough room for the thread to wrap over and under which is good, since the beads keep those picks a bit uplifted, so I can go underneath it easy with the double layer of nylon - I thought it was too thin, when I purchased it - using a needle, but could do without, but then there will be left enough thread too to begin with the first row of beads. I hope it will work out - really need smaller fingers for the work though.
